Oliver Clark – Consultant (UK)
Oliver graduated from Loughborough University with a BSc degree in Computing and Management, before working as a consultant for a leading UK financial recruitment agency. He joined Hughes-Castell from another legal recruiter and now specialises in placing international lawyers into private practice and in-house roles throughout the Middle East – a region he has a particular affection for having lived in Dubai for 10 years. Oliver spends his spare time keeping fit and following sport, and enjoys international travel.

Doreen Jaeger – Consultant (Hong Kong)
Born and educated in Hong Kong, Doreen majored in Psychology at Occidental College in California. She joined Hughes-Castell in 1991 and is a Managing Director of the company. She covers private practice and in-house in Asia. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, German and French and proficient in Mandarin.
Some of her achievements include a US firm’s acquisition of an entire regional securitization practice—consisting of a team of seven lawyers including a partner, a UK law firm in its acquisition of its Tokyo office from a competing firm, a Wall Street firm’s acquisition of a Korean law practice, as well as the recruitment of the General Counsel to a power company, the General Counsel to a global technology manufacturing company, the regional counsel of an international insurance company, the Head of Legal of a major hedge fund, the COO of a global investment bank and the General Counsel of a household name in asset management.

Katy Lang – Consultant (Hong Kong)
Born and educated in Hong Kong, Katy majored in Psychology at York University in Canada. She joined Hughes-Castell in 1993 and is a Managing Director of the company, covering private practice and in-house. She is fluent in Cantonese and English and proficient in Mandarin.
Career highlights include recruitment of partners and teams to US law firms and other partner placements to UK Magic Circle firms. She has also engaged in a highly successful practice of placing senior counsels in legal departments of prominent corporations highly placed in the Fortune 500.

Mark Simpson – Consultant (New Zealand)
Mark joined Hughes-Castell in New Zealand at the beginning of 2007. He has a conjoint law (honours) and commerce degree from the University of Auckland graduating in 1991. He worked initially as a solicitor and associate specialising in banking and finance for leading Auckland law firms, and more recently has also worked as an in-house legal counsel for two of the larger trading banks. Mark recruits for both law firms and in-house roles. He is also experienced in helping New Zealand lawyers find roles in overseas jurisdictions. He is the Middle East specialist.

Kirsty Spears – Consultant (Australia)
After initially undertaking her legal training in the UK, Kirsty moved across to legal recruitment in 1997. Since then she has developed a wealth of experience recruiting for private practice and in-house roles, from newly qualified lawyers to partners and General Counsel. During her ten years she has managed local and international recruitment campaigns for international and Magic Circle clients, and enjoys putting together strategies to find the very best candidates using all the resources, knowledge and media available. Kirsty currently manages the Sydney office of Hughes-Castell and is the key Australian contact for recruitment in the Middle East.
Away form work Kirsty is sport mad; in fact it was the 2003 Rugby World Cup that brought her to Australia. She also loves her 4WD and gets out into the NSW bush as often as possible.
